When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo. You may also set a display name and upload an avatar.

As you use the platform we collect usage data such as videos watched, reading progress, streaks, and daily goal activity. This data powers features like progress tracking and personalized recommendations.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed by Stripe. We never store your credit card details directly.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and operate the Dive Korean service (account, progress, subscriptions).
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets).
• Improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns.
• Respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for authentication, database storage, payment processing, and website hosting. If you choose to sign in with Google, your authentication is handled through Google OAuth.

Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies to maintain your authentication session. The video player may use browser local storage to remember your playback position. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which removes your personal data and usage history from our systems.

6. Children's Privacy

Dive Korean is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify users via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Dive Korean after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
